April/May is COLD in Alaska.

Ray flew totes of sockeye from our Ilnik Lagoon setnet operation in his Cessna 206 (1020V), over to the Peter Pan cannery in Port Moller (1986-1995).

About 1990 - With some duct tape and 2X4s and after bending the prop straight, Ray flew it to Homer for repairs (wearing his parachute, just in case).   Reminder: Always fly over your beach landing once before landing, becuase high tide can change everything...

Ray and Doug flying home in his current airplane (1120V), from Homer Alaska, summer 2026. The trip takes about 2 days (about 8-10 hours per day).

Especially when the EPA put a 6-month expiration on Avgas and you don't find out until Yakutat (they only get an annual shipment).  We made it to Juneau (thanks to those tanks).
