On the Alaskan waters, since Seldovia in 1945
Gene “Whitey” Wadsworth homesteaded Seldovia in 1945 and fished the Sea Scout. His son Ray built the boats — including Order of Magnitude, the 50-mph herring seiner Alaska fishermen still talk about. His grandson Doug is building the next hull. Doug’s son Gene (named for Whitey) and many of Ray's other grandchildren often work the same decks.
